Diagnostic accuracy of qualitative and quantitative computed tomography analysis for diagnosis of pathological grade and stage in upper tract urothelial cell carcinoma
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography Apr 04, 2018
Mammen S, et al. - Authors sought to comparatively analyze the grade and stage of upper tract urothelial cell carcinoma (UCC) in individuals who underwent nephroureterectomy and preoperative computed tomography between 2013 and 2015. No variation was discovered in the size of tumors compared by grade or stage. A correlation was illustrated between the tumors characterized as spiculated/irregular margin and heterogeneous with T2 disease or higher. Fimdings displayed that the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of heterogeneity was accurate for diagnosis of higher grade and stage of disease in upper tract UCC. Additionally, spiculated/irregular margins were related to T2 disease or higher.
