Diagnostic accuracy of PCR-based detection tests for Helicobacter Pylori in stool samples: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Helicobacter | Oct 05, 2017
Khadangi F, et al. - The authors performed this systematic review to measure the diagnostic accuracy of PCR-based detection tests for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in stool samples. For the detection of H. pylori infection, the sensitivity and specificity of the stool PCR test were relatively in the same spectrum of other diagnostic methods. 23S rRNA, 16S rRNA, and glmM were the most diagnostic candidate genes using PCR detection in descending order of significance. PCR for 23S rRNA gene which had the highest performance could be applicable to detect H. pylori infection.
