They also included the collection of data for improving the computer algorithm that classifies skin lesions based on melanin fluorescence and the assessment of safety aspects. Findings suggested safety and accuracy of dermatofluoroscopy as a diagnostic method to help physicians in diagnosing cutaneous melanoma. Largely amelanotic or regressing lesions that lack sufficient melanin fluorescence aided in the arousal of limitations.
