Diagnosis of glioma recurrence using multiparametric dynamic 18F-Fluoroethyl-Tyrosine PET-MRI
European Journal of Radiology Apr 11, 2018
Pyka T, et al. - Authors probed into the value of combined 18F-fluorethyltyrosine-(FET)-PET/MRI for differentiation between recurrence and treatment-related changes in glioma patients. Subjects underwent a dynamic FET scan, morphologic MRI, PWI and DWI on a hybrid PET/MRI scanner. Data illustrated that simultaneous dynamic FET-PET/MRI was reliably feasible for imaging of recurrent glioma. All modalities reported the ability to discriminate between recurrence and treatment-related changes. However, multiparametric analysis added value particularly when high specificity was demanded.
