Diabetic ketoacidosis in adult patients: An audit of factors influencing time to normalisation of metabolic parameters
Internal Medicine Journal Jan 11, 2018
Lee MH, et al. - The intention of researchers was to determine factors that speculated a slower time to resolution of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in adults with diabetes. The independent predictors of slower time to resolution of DKA were discovered to be lower admission pH levels and higher admission serum potassium levels. This data could aid in the stratification of patients with DKA using markers of severity for identifying those who could benefit from closer monitoring and for speculating the length of stay (LOS).
