Huh JH, et al. - For this research, the physicians evaluated the risk of mortality and severity in acute pancreatitis (AP) among patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus (DM). In patients with AP, type-2 DM was correlated with severity and increased mortality. The findings provided evidence of the potential role of DM in the pathogenesis and management of severe AP.
