Shemesh S, et al. - This study tested the validity of a presumption that diabetes mellitus (DM) may contribute to the ligamentum flavum (LF) changes seen in patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis (LSCS). Findings indicated that DM significantly contributed to the loss of elastin fibers in the LF of patients with LSCS.
