A case-control study comprising patients with a previous diagnosis of diabetes as cases and age- and gender-matched patients without presenting diabetes as controls.
Assessment was conducted at 7.2 months after hospital discharge among 145 patients with diabetes and 144 non-diabetic controls who had recovered from COVID-19.
The groups were similar in the number of post-COVID symptoms.
Fatigue, dyspnea on exertion, and pain were the most prevalent post-COVID symptoms.
Post-COVID symptoms did not differ between the groups.
