Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology Sep 14, 2017
Boxum AG, et al. - In this assessment, the experts examined the development of reaching and head stability in infants at very high risk (VHR-infants) of cerebral palsy (CP) who did and did not develop CP. They observed a worse kinematic reaching quality and head stability in infants with CP throughout infancy from the early age onwards compared to VHR-infants without CP. These findings indicated that kinematically infants with CP did not grow into a deficit, but exhibit deficits from early infancy onwards.
