Development of the facial glycation imaging system for in situ human face skin glycation index measurement
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Feb 05, 2021
Lee J, Jeong ET, Lim JM, et al. - In the present study, the researchers sought to develop a convenient and accurate in situ advanced glycation end‐product measurement system for the human face. They developed a facial glycation imaging system consisting of illumination modules for capturing face images (white light‐emitting diode, ultraviolet light‐emitting diode) and image acquisition modules. Age was significantly associated with forearm skin glycation index and cheek skin glycation index. A novel in situ facial skin glycation index measurement device was developed successfully. The convenient and precise method allows in situ skin glycation index monitoring for skin aging studies like those on anti‐glycation cosmetics.
