Sinn DH, et al. - This study was performed to examine the longitudinal association of Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its severity with the development of chronic kidney disease (CKD). In a large cohort of adult men and women without CKD, NAFLD seemed associated with an increased risk of CKD development. As per findings, NAFLD could adversely affect renal function and would require careful attention for an increased risk of CKD.
