- This study utilized the Hamilton rating scale tool to evaluate the prevalence of depression among two hundred twenty-six patients undergoing hemodialysis and one hundred five of their caregivers in a hospital in Saudi Arabia.
- The results of this study showed that patients with chronic renal disease and their caregivers experience depression at varying levels.
- Findings revealed that depression was positively connected with the socioeconomic and marital status of the patients.
- According to the findings obtained, socioeconomic status of the caregivers was seen to be associated with their depression.
