Montgomery W, et al. -A cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate caregiver-reported history of disease onset and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) dementia to help efforts promoting early disease detection and diagnosis. The most frequent first symptoms noticed by caregivers prior to a diagnosis of AD dementia were memory problems, followed by repetition. These outcomes give novel insight into the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of AD dementia in Japan and how these factors vary across the spectrum of disease severity.
