Meyermann K, et al. – This study aimed at discussing the descending thoracic aortic mural thrombus presentation and treatment strategies. Findings revealed the uncommon occurrence of mural thrombus of the thoracic aorta, but it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of embolic events. Although endovascular therapy could be a useful first–line option for thoracic aortic mural thrombus (TAMT) with reports of positive outcomes in select literature, further study of this treatment option was recommended.
