American Journal of Ophthalmology May 20, 2021
Livny E, Mimouni M, Sorkin N, et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective case series to evaluate the outcomes of Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) in patients with ocular hypotony following glaucoma surgery. The research involved 11 DMEK procedures conducted in 10 eyes of 4 males and 6 females aged 65 to 84 years. DMEK is a valid procedure for treating corneal edema in hypotonic eyes after glaucoma procedures. These eyes benefit from improved vision after DMEK.
