Dermoscopic features of basal cell carcinoma on the lower limbs: A chameleon!
Dermatology Mar 27, 2018
Lombardi M, et al. - Authors herein sought to describe the dermoscopic features of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) located on lower limbs. They also defined which criteria were more related to their benign- or malignant-looking appearance. A frequent simulation of BCC of the lower legs with other benign or malignant lesions was noted, SCC was seen to be the main differential diagnosis. Malignant-looking appearance had an independent association with erosions/ulceration and vessels. Glomerular and polymorphic were the most represented vessels, which were more frequently encountered in SCC, together with ulceration.
