Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans: A retrospective study of clinicopathological features and related Akt/mTOR, STAT3, ERK, Cyclin D1, and PD-L1 expression
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology May 31, 2018
Park S, et al. - Authors ascertained the clinicopathological features and key factors for adverse outcome in dermatofibrosarcoma protuberance (DFSP) including the implication of Akt/mTOR, STAT3, ERK, cyclinD1, and PD-L1 expression. Local recurrence or metastasis could be portended with complex factors beyond fibrosarcomatous subtype. An association of Akt/mTOR, STAT3, ERK, and PD-L1 with DFSP development and/or progression was seen. Compared to dermatofibroma, Akt/mTOR and ERK were more frequently expressed in DFSP.
