Park SM, et al. - Using a self-reported screening questionnaire for depression, experts evaluated the association between the presence and severity of depression and low back pain (LBP) in a representative sample of the general population. In patients with LBP, depression is more common among Koreans. Findings suggested a significant association between the presence of depression and LBP, particularly in those who are severely depressed.
