Repousi N, et al. - In view of the observation that depression is associated with Metabolic syndrome (MetS) in people aged 60 years or over, researchers summarized and evaluated the association between depression and MetS in these individuals. Findings here affirm the observation that depression is significantly associated with MetS in people aged 60 years or over. Abdominal obesity appeared to be associated more strongly and consistently with depression among the components of MetS.
