This study also sought to examine the variations in demographic profile between adolescents and older mothers. The adverse pregnancy outcomes illustrated a continuum with the advancement of maternal age. Adolescents mother displayed greater tendency of vaginal delivery. An increased risk of preterm delivery was, nevertheless, found. A link was noted between advanced maternal age with increased risk of preterm delivery, gestational diabetes and caesarean section (CS).
