Hartman YAW, et al. - Authors evaluated the physical activity and sedentary behavior of ambulatory and community-dwelling patients with dementia vs cognitively healthy age-, sex- and weight-matched controls. Compared to cognitively healthy controls, patients with dementia were more sedentary and performed less physical activity. Based on the finding that all-cause mortality and morbidity were independently predicted by the sedentary behavior and low physical activity, this may have clinically important consequences.
