Degree and duration of functional improvement on long term follow up of spinal dural arteriovenous fistulae occluded by endovascular and surgical treatment

Durnford AJ, et al. – In this study, researchers described long–term outcome following occlusion of spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas (SDAVF). Following occlusion, SDAVF patients experienced a modest improvement in symptoms, most commonly by one point on the Aminoff and Logue scale. About 9.1% of patients reported idiopathic late deterioration.
