Definitive chemoradiotherapy in elderly cervical cancer patients: A multiinstitutional analysis
International Journal of Gynecological Cancer Sep 14, 2017
Guler OC, et al. - The intention of this work was to analyze the prognostic factors for survival and treatment-related toxicities in older cervical cancer patients treated with definitive chemoradiotherapy. A comparison was also performed between the outcomes among the older elderly (≥75 years) and their younger old counterparts (age, 65Â74 years). Age appeared to limit the delivery of aggressive therapy. Nevertheless, concurrent chemoradiotherapy in elderly patients was related to improved outcomes similar as in younger counterparts without increasing serious acute and late toxicities.
