Decreased expression of hsa_circ_0072387 as a valuable predictor for oral squamous cell carcinoma

Dou Z, et al. - In 63 paired oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and three OSCC cell lines, researchers assessed the circular RNA hsa_circ_0072387 in terms of expression levels using real-time quantitative reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction to assess its aberrant expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical implication. OSCC exhibited significantly downregulated hsa_circ_0072387 expression vs adjacent normal tissues; it was also associated with the TNM stage in OSCC. In OSCC, lower expression of has_circ_0072387 could serve as a potential biomarker in OSCC diagnosis and therapeutic targets.
