Puri PM, et al. - In this work, authors intended to understand patients perspectives and satisfaction with choosing surgery for the treatment of pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs). They realized high satisfaction among patients with a resected PCL regarding their decision to have surgery, irrespective of the final diagnosis or clinical outcome. Fear of cancer seemed the main driver in the decision-making process, and the anxiety of harboring a cyst was a greater cause of distress than were postsurgical lifestyle changes.
