Cyclooxygenase-2 inhibition enhances proliferation of NKT cells derived from patients with laryngeal cancer

Klatka J, et al. – The researchers intended to figure out whether inhibition of cyclooxygenase–2 by celecoxib and the subsequent enhancement in the proliferation of natural killer T (NKT) cells could play a role in dendritic cell (DC)–based laryngeal cancer (LC) immunotherapy. They suggested that COX–2 inhibition could be considered as the immunotherapy–enhancing tool in patients with LC.
