Current hospital demographics of subarachnoid hemorrhage based on CT angiography and 3D rotational angiography in a neurosurgical center
American Journal of Neuroradiology Jun 19, 2019
van Rooij SBT, et al. - Via a study of 220 patients with an aneurysmal bleeding pattern, the researchers assessed diagnosis and treatment of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage in a neurosurgical referral center. Ruptured aneurysm was by fa the most commonly observed cause of bleeding, but, micro-AVM, and reversible vasoconstriction syndrome were also seen. One hundred and seventeen additional aneurysms, of which 24 were treated by either coiling or clipping were noted in 72 patients. Hence, robust data on hospital demographics of subarachnoid hemorrhage in a neurosurgical referral center, based on CTA and 3D rotational angiography of all vessels was provided by this study.
