Meng XD, et al. - The authors aimed at assessing the association between the serum creatine kinase (CK) level and aggressive behavior in patients with schizophrenia. They observed increased serum CK level among the aggressive patients with schizophrenia. This suggested the inclusion of a lab test of CK level as valuable in patients with schizophrenia and history of aggression. It would allow the staff to take precautions to protect the patients and others.
