COVID-19 vaccine coverage in health-care workers in England and effectiveness of BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine against infection (SIREN): A prospective, multicentre, cohort study
The Lancet May 12, 2021
Hall VJ, Foulkes S, Saei A, et al. - This study intended to ascertain the factors correlated with vaccine coverage for both vaccines and documented the vaccine efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine in a cohort of healthcare workers undergoing regular asymptomatic testing. For this analysis, 23,324 participants from 104 sites (all in England) were included. Both symptomatic and asymptomatic infections can be prevented by the BNT162b2 vaccine in working-age adults. When the dominant variant in circulation was B1.1.7, this cohort was vaccinated and shows effectiveness against this variant.
