Could perfusion heterogeneity at dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI be used to predict rectal cancer sensitivity to chemoradiotherapy?
Clinical Radiology Jul 21, 2018
Palmisano A, et al. - Whether treatment response can be predicted by perfusion heterogeneity of rectal cancer before chemoradiotherapy (CRT) using histogram analysis of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) quantitative parameters was assessed via analyzing prospectively enrolled data of 21 patients with histologically proven rectal adenocarcinoma. In the prediction of response to CRT in rectal cancer patients, skewness and kurtosis of Ve seemed to be promising.
