Corticosteroids for treatment of sore throat: Systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised trials

Sadeghirad B, et al. - This study appraised corticosteroids as an adjunct treatment for sore throat. Findings indicated that single low dose corticosteroids have the potential to relieve pain in patients with sore throat, without increasing serious adverse effects.
