Perez DL, et al. – The researchers examined the hypothesis that self–reported health status and affective symptoms would map onto salience network regions and that patients with functional neurological disorder (FND) would show decreased insular volumes compared with controls. In the pathophysiology of FND, these findings supported roles for several regions of the salience network.
