Correlation of corneal biomechanical stiffness with refractive error and ocular biometry in a pediatric population
Cornea Sep 16, 2017
Matalia J, et al. - This article was written with the objective to evaluate the correlation between corneal bio mechanical stiffness and refractive error (RE) in the pediatric population. In light of these outcomes, Corneal stiffness (CS) and extraocular tissue stiffness (EOS) correlated negatively and positively with the grade of myopia, respectively. For both CS and EOS, ocular biometry variables were significant predictors. The reduce in CS was attributed to that in elastic modulus.
