Correlation between standardized uptake value in preneoadjuvant and postneoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and tumor regression grade in patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer
American Journal of Clinical Oncology Mar 05, 2018
Baksh K, et al. - Whether or not positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) initial and restaging imaging predicts for pathologic response measured by tumor regression grade (TRG) after pre-operative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer, was investigated herein. The findings demonstrated that in predicting the pathologic response of esophageal cancer after neoadjuvant therapy, changes in standard uptake value uptake on PET/CT scans after CRT has prognostic value.
