Mys K, et al. - In this investigation, researchers compared the accuracy of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and high-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography (HR-pQCT) and determined the bone structural parameter quantification agreement between CBCT and HR-pQCT. In bone-morphometric analyses of trapezia, CBCT produced comparable accuracy as HR-pQCT. Findings revealed that the broader range of application, larger field of view, and shorter acquisition time make CBCT a valuable worthwhile to HR-pQCT.
