Coronary flow reserve in systemic rheumatic diseases: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Rheumatology International May 11, 2018
Erre LG, et al. - Authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the relationships between the presence of rheumatic diseases (RDs) and coronary flow reserve (CFR). Compared to patients with mixed autoimmune and autoinflammatory features (e.g., psoriatic arthritis), patients with prevalent autoimmune features (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus) demonstrated a significantly lower CFR. In patients with RDs vs the general population, significant impairment in CFR was seen. The severity of CFR impairment in RDs could be influenced by differences in pathogenetic mechanisms.
