Rivinius R, et al. - In this observational retrospective single-center study, researchers compared the heart rate, left ventricular (LV) mass and survival in patients managed with either ivabradine or metoprolol following heart transplantation (HTX). Within 2 years after HTX, treatment with ivabradine vs metoprolol succinate resulted in a significant reduction in post-transplant heart rate and LV mass and was associated with a superior survival.
