Lysaker PH, et al. – The present study sought to compare the metacognition and social cognition in schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorders. The authors found that borderline personality disorder displayed a unique pattern of metacognitive deficits. They suggested that borderline personality disorder might involve uniquely grave metacognitive deficits in decentration and mastery.
