Contrast-enhanced CT texture parameters as predictive markers of high-risk urodynamic features in adult patients with spina bifida
Urology Oct 05, 2019
Khene Z, Richard C, Hascoet J, et al. - Via a single-center prospective trial was done from March 2015 to March 2017 including all consecutive adult patients with spina bifida (n = 40) observed for urodynamic testing, researchers examined CT texture analysis of the bladder wall as a prognosticator of urodynamics findings in adult patient with spina bifida. The Lasso penalized logistic regression analysis recognized Skewness and S.1.1.SumVarnc texture parameters as potential predictors of poor bladder compliance. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis validated skewness as an independent prognosticator of poor bladder compliance. The Lasso penalized logistic regression analysis classified one texture parameter as a potential prognosticator of detrusor overactivity ie, Kurtosis, which was validated in multivariate logistic regression analysis. Therefore, the findings exhibit that to detect patients with spina bifida with high-risk urodynamic characteristics, CT texture analysis of the bladder wall could be an impressive tool.
