Continuous noninvasive arterial pressure monitoring using the vascular unloading technique (CNAP system) in obese patients during laparoscopic bariatric operations
Anesthesia & Analgesia Jan 31, 2018
Rogge DE, et al. - This trial incorporated a comparative analysis of the continuous noninvasive arterial pressure (CNAP) measurements using the vascular unloading technique (CNAP system; CNSystems, Graz, Austria) vs invasive arterial pressure (AP) measurements (radial arterial catheter) in severely obese patients during laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Good trending capabilities were illustrated via continuous noninvasive AP monitoring with the CNAP system compared with continuous invasive AP measurements obtained with a radial arterial catheter. Nevertheless, it was noted that the absolute CNAP- and arterial catheter–derived AP values were not interchangeable.
