Kipfmueller F, et al. - The purpose of this work was to examine the effects of intravenous sildenafil on oxygenation and pulmonary hypertension (PH) in neonates with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). A connection was brought to light between intravenous sildenafil therapy during the first day of life with acute improvement in oxygenation in more than 40% of patients. Nevertheless, there appeared to be a substantial rise in vasopressor support.
