Alhassan A, et al. - This study analyzed the evidence on the potential impacts of fish consumption on vascular risk factors arising from intervention trials. This investigation yielded evidence that indicated significant improvements in triglycerides and HDL levels (important biomarkers of cardiovascular risk) as a result of oily fish consumption. Findings strongly support the important role for oily fish as part of a healthy diet.
