Urology Jan 06, 2022
Carto C, Pagalavan M, Nackeeran S, et al. - Less likelihood of experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED) was evident in relation to a healthful plant-based diet, in a well characterized national database.
Using the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database, this analysis involved a total of 2,549 men, of whom 42.6% had good erectile function and 57.4% had some degree of ED.
The median plant-based diet index (PDI) and healthful plant-based diet index (hPDI) were 50 [46 – 54] and 50 [45 – 56], respectively.
A negative relationship was found between hPDI and ED (OR = 0.98) in multivariable adjusted logistic regression analysis.
No association was found between PDI and ED.
