Complications associated with surgical treatment of sleep-disordered breathing among hospitalized US adults
Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery May 18, 2018
Beydoun HA, et al. - Authors evaluated the association between surgical treatments for sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and a composite measure of surgical complications in a nationally representative sample of hospital discharges among US adults. Composite measures of surgical complications were negatively associated with tracheostomy. Findings suggested a positive association of most procedures for SDB, except tracheostomy with complications. The strongest association was exhibited by palatal procedures and the weakest association was exhibited by supraglottoplasty.
