Kishimoto Y, et al. - The topic of exploration here was the complications related to endoscopic laryngopharyngeal surgery (ELPS). The intent was to better comprehend the indications for this procedure. A safe management was noted of all the complications after ELPS. In contrast, the resection of pyriform sinus lesions appeared to be a risk factor for subcutaneous emphysema. Such risk factors ought to be cautiously taken into account when treating pharyngeal and laryngeal lesions by ELPS.
