Compliance with skeletal surveys for child abuse in general hospitals: A statewide quality improvement process
American Journal of Roentgenology Apr 26, 2019
Wanner MR, et al. - In this investigation, researchers sought to conduct a statewide quality improvement process to improve compliance with the guidelines of the American College of Radiology (ACR) in conducting skeletal surveys of suspected child abuse. All outside hospital skeletal surveys were prospectively identified for suspected child abuse in children younger than 3 years referred to the tertiary children's hospital in 2016–2017. Following the implementation of a quality improvement process, the compliance rate with ACR guidelines for skeletal surveys in suspected child abuse in outside general hospitals increased significantly.
