Price KN, Thompson AM, Rizvi O, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for analyzing patterns of conventional and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies used by individuals with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a debilitating disease characterized by recurrent painful nodules, abscesses, and sinus tracts in intertriginous areas. The therapies available have variable and minimal effectiveness. CAM is widely used in other chronic dermatoses, however, there is a lack of investigations into CAM in HS.
