Comparison of water and air charged transducer catheter pressures in the evaluation of cystometrogram and voiding pressure studies

Neurourology and Urodynamics Jan 28, 2018

McKinney TB, et al. - In this study, the authors assessed the differences in measuring pressures for voiding dysfunction by using air-charged (AC) and water-perfused (WP) catheters. Similar accurate and comparable results were yielded by cystometrogram and maximum voiding pressure measurements performed via the air or water charged catheters. Greater variability was reported at low bladder volumes <50ml.
