Comparison of ultrasonographic findings of schwannomas and angioleiomyomas
The Journal of Dermatology Jun 01, 2018
Ogata D, et al. - Authors ascertain significant differentiating features between the schwannomas and angioleiomyomas, which usually develop as hard subcutaneous tumours and are often associated with tenderness, using ultrasonography. The clinical findings and ultrasonographic imaging are compared and the statistical significance is calculated for each item. As per data, identification of a single, differentiating feature between angioleiomyoma and schwannoma on ultrasonography is difficult. The differential diagnosis can be facilitated by including multiple findings during the work-up.
