Comparison of the combination of propofol–fentanyl with combination of propofol–ketamine for procedural sedation and analgesia in patients with trauma

Aminiahidashti H, et al. - In trauma patients in the Emergency Department, the efficacy of propofol and fentanyl combination for procedural sedation and analgesia (PSA) was compared with propofol and ketamine combination. Researchers observed that in terms of PSA, propofol fentanyl (PF) caused better analgesia and deeper sedation. Thus, they recommended PF for PSA in the Emergency Departments.
